Staff Acceptable Computer Use Policy
Have all of your staff signed an acceptable computer use policy as part of their employment contract?
It is a very important document to have in place.
Without it there is not a lot to stand on when managing a staff member who may have used the computer system inappropriately.
Items such as allowing the employees use of the computer system to be monitored are the first steps, and from there items can be clarified that are inappropriate use of the Computer System and therefore not allowed - such as browsing inappropriate Internet content, sending chain emails, and playing computer games.
Whilst we state that you must seek your own independent legal advice regarding these contracts, we have put together a standard draft document to steer you in the right direction.
